MOTEL VALKIRIAS and CODEX 632 awarded at the New York Festivals

SPi's productions MOTEL VALKIRIAS and CODEX 632 were awarded Silver and Bronze, respectively, in the Drama category of the New York Festivals - Tv & Film Awards this Tuesday, April 16, at Lincoln Center in New York.

The New York Festivals TV & Film Awards is one of the most important festivals in the audiovisual market and aims to reward television formats in different categories, authors, directors and elect the television station of the year.

MOTEL VALKIRIAS, produced by SPi and CTV and broadcast on the HBO Max streaming platform, RTP and TV Galicia, is an eight-part series written by Ghaleb Martinez, directed by Alex Sampayo and Jorge Queiroga, and tells the story of the lives of three women with serious economic problems who meet in a motel near the border between Portugal and Spain and end up living a real adventure, at the risk of their lives, as they find themselves involved in a money-laundering business, with a mafia as the protagonist.

The six-episode series CODEX 632, based on the book by José Rodrigues dos Santos, written by Pedro Lopes and directed by Sérgio Graciano, was broadcast by RTP and on the Globo Play streaming platform.
