MOTEL VALKIRIAS shines in a premiere in Galicia
As with the event that marked the premiere of the most recent co-production of SPi and CTV - Motel Valkirias - in Portugal, at the end of February, the series' premiere in Galicia took place on March 1st, at the Abanca Auditorium in Santiago de Compostela.
The event matched the premiere of the new thriller on the HBOMax, where the first episode has been available since March 1. Know more about this thriller here.
In addition to Manuel Claro (Director of Business and Co-productions at SPi) and Pedro Rosa (Board Member and CFO), José Fragoso, Director of RTP1, the series broadcaster in Portugal, also attended the premiere. This time, a large part of the Galician cast was present, including one of the main characters Maria Mera, Chechu Salgado, Alba Loureiro, Machi Salgado, Vicente Mohedano, and Miro Magarinos.
Fernando R. Ojea, CRTVG's Director of Content, underlined the importance of Galician television's commitment to quality fiction "with Motel Valkirias, we have reinforced TVG's sustained support for the Galician audiovisual sector and, at the same time, we have opened markets with the Portuguese industry, in a new co-production between the two countries, which have already achieved and exported great fictional successes to other channels and digital platforms in recent years."
With the support of PIC Portugal, Turismo de Portugal, the Montalegre City Council, the Galician Agency for Cultural Industries (Agadic), the Galician Government, and the collaboration of the Ourense Provincial Council, MOTEL VALKIRIAS has proven to be another successful production that unites two neighboring nations.
