CODEX 632 at MIPTV

The MIPTV took place from April 17 to 19, at the Palais des Festivals, in Cannes, celebrating this year the 60th anniversary.

SPi, Globoplay and RTP were present, by invitation of Bavaria Media, to celebrate the upcoming release of the CODEX 632 series, which is scheduled to take place later this year. Manuel Claro, Head of Business & CoPros, and Pedro Lopes, General Content Director, joined Maike Haas (Bavaria), Pablo Ghiglione (Globoplay), José Fragoso (RTP) and Eva Pfaudler (Bavaria), to celebrate this co-production based on the best-seller book by José Rodrigues dos Santos, which takes place between Portugal and Brazil. This is "Globoplay’s first international co-production", according to Pablo Ghiglione for TTV News*.

At Bavaria's stand, the international distributor of CODEX 632, it was possible to see the series' first images, which leave no doubt that this is one of the most awaited releases of the year.

The audiovisual markets are always an excellent place to bring together audiovisual professionals from all over the world, especially at a time when co-production is becoming increasingly important. MIPTV is proof of that, being an event that brings together four markets in one, where the main categories of television are covered: documentaries (MIPDOC), formats/entertainment (MIPFORMATS), drama (MIPDRAMA) and content for children (Future of Kids TV Summit).

The 2023 edition had "more than 180 stands and 530 companies on display, and 1600 buyers from more than 80 countries, between TV channels, distributors, studios, producers and streamers," as stated in the article published also by TTV News*.
