SP Televisão celebrates 15 years of successes

Last July 5th, O Clube Monsanto Secret Spot, in Lisbon, opened its doors to the SP Televisão family to celebrate the 15th anniversary of what is already considered a reference among independent production companies in Portugal, with proven international credentials.

The hosts of the party were, naturally, António Parente, Chairman of SP Televisão, Jorge Marecos, Director, and João Pedro Lopes, CEO, who were joined by various guests in a late afternoon full of emotions, which lasted into the night.

Francisco Pedro Balsemão, Daniel Cruzeiro, Nuno Conde and Mónica Serrano, from SIC, marked the 15 years of SP Televisão, but the guest list also included Manuel Claro, from the Portugal Film Commission, Susana Gato, from APIT, Liliana Duarte, from The Walt Disney Company and António Quaresma, president of the O Valor do Tempo group. They were joined by employees and actors who, over these 15 years, have been involved in the various successful projects produced by SP Televisão.

A night of emotions

At the end of the afternoon, O Clube Monsanto Secret Spot welcomed the guests with a welcome drink, followed by a dinner that culminated with speeches by António Parente and Jorge Marecos, where both thanked the technical teams and actors for the excellent work done so far, as well as praised, in a beautiful and moving tribute, the talent and dedication of the actor Ruy de Carvalho who, at the age of 95, was present at this party, having received a standing ovation from all guests.

When the time came to sing Happy Birthday, to mark the 15th anniversary of SP Televisão, the guests were accompanied by saxophone. But many surprises followed, namely the performance of a group of adufeiros that surprised everyone with a spectacle of sound, light and colour, and the beats of the music band Colours Beat. Both performances provided a unique energy, which made the party happen at the highest level!
