Gilmário Vemba premiere at FOX Comedy

On August 1st, Gilmário Vemba's show will premiere on Portuguese television. O Bar do Gilmário, a SPi production for The Walt Disney Company, will be broadcasted on FOX Comedy, from Monday to Friday, at 11:45pm.

Combining stand-up comedy with fiction, O Bar do Gilmário promises a lot of laughs. The well-known comedian Gilmário Vemba is joined by four other talented actors: Ciomara Morais, who besides being an actress is also a Luso-Angolan model and director, and became known for her role in the series Morangos com Açúcar; Érica Chissapa, who combines her work as an actress telenovela Heart and Soul; and Sabri Lucas, who already has a vast career in theatre, television and cinema.

The main scenario of this series is a bar in Luanda, whose owner is Gilmário, who every night goes on stage for small moments of stand-up comedy based on different themes. Meanwhile, the staff illustrate the boss's jokes while at the same time creating their own sketches. A real team effort creating happy hours in the evening on the FOX Comedy channel, as of 1st August.
